 | Tibetan Incense Ref: INS1
Traditional Tibetan incense is made from recipes in the medical Tantras some of them recorded from the time of the Buddha. The aromatic incense - Red Crystal, Shambala, Potala, Om, Relaxense and Dakpa Tamdin - contain medical herbs and spices (cardamon and nutmeg) scented with musk, saffron and sandalwood. They are about 10inches in length except for Red Crystal which measures 14" and burns for two hours. The aromatherapy incense - Tara healing, asafoetida, and agar is made by highly qualified Tibetan doctors. IT is 5-8 inches in length, burns for between 45 - 70 minutes and contains up to 31 varieties of Himalayan herbs, flowers and roots. It is said to relieve stress, restore emotional equilibrium and rebalance the wind element.
