Windhorse Imports supports ‘Education for Children’ , a small locally based,
non-profit organisation based in Kathmandu. This is a letter from Mrs Manju Thapa,
who, like some of the other members, has taken poor and abused children into her
own home and struggles to provide for their education.
We would like to introduce
ourselves as an organisation established with the sole aim of preserving and promoting
the rights and privileges of poor children and particularly their right to education.
We are a team of ladies offering support to poor and abused children in Nepal, and
we are proud that we have already given several children the light of education.
Two children have already completed their 10th Class*, one young boy from a very
remote village is taking his exams this year. At the moment we are helping 8-10 children,
but wish we could help more. So, we request to you all kindly support us if you can

the light of education to the poor children will be the biggest help, other than
doing holy works. We hope that you will support us and give a golden opportunity
to our children to read and write, which reduces child labour too. To continue our
work we need more support and help from all over the world.
It is our wish and intention,
with enough support, to eventually establish our own school for poor children too.
